Cold Shot Chillers 2 Ton model ACWC-24-Q water chillers are made in the USA and are among the most durable and dependable chillers on the market. We offer 2-ton chillers in air-cooled or water-cooled configurations. Stationary, portable, and reverse-flow designs are available to accommodate virtually any industrial process cooling applications.
This air-cooled chiller features a hermetic scroll compressor and R410A refrigerant for reliable performance in industrial settings. An onboard PLC controls the system and displays alerts via error codes. Users adjust temperature with a simple LED controller. Built-in safeties protect against high/low temps, pressure issues, and fluid flow problems.
“Portable” means the air-cooled unit includes all key parts (compressor, reservoir, pump) within one frame. Most air-cooled portable chiller units will never be moved once installed.
Approximate weight: 563 lbs.
Dimensions: 42” L x 32.5” W x 51.5” H.
“Stationary” means this chiller has no built-in pump or tank. It must connect to an external pump and reservoir.
Model ACWC-25-QST includes separate controls for the chiller and pump, with wiring recommended to ensure the chiller only runs when fluid is circulating. This air-cooled system uses a single-stage hermetic scroll compressor and R410A refrigerant. All wetted parts (tank, evaporator, and internal piping) are stainless steel or copper to resist corrosion.
Approximate weight: 550 lbs.
Dimensions: 42” L x 32.5” W x 51.5” H.
The term “reverse flow” refers to a chiller that includes the refrigeration circuit, evaporator, and internal pumping system. The chiller is usually located near the customer’s external tank. Many of these applications are to chill an external tank to a predetermined temperature setting. The fluid is then pumped out to the customer’s process to remove heat from equipment. The warmed fluid is then pumped back to the external tank where the heat is exchanged by the chiller.
Our 2-ton air-cooled model ACWC-24-QRF approximate unit weight is 550 lbs. in total with dimensions of 42” L x 32 ½” W x 51 ½” H.

Model WCWC-24-Q is a 2-ton portable water-cooled chiller that removes up to 24,000 BTU/hr at 50°F leaving fluid and 85°F condensing water. It’s ideal for indoor use near the process, with low heat output.
It uses R-410A refrigerant and a hermetic scroll compressor for stable, efficient cooling. The unit works with building chilled water, ponds, lakes, or geothermal sources.
Dry weight: approx. 350 lbs.
Dimensions: 41” L x 29” W x 52” H. Built for long service life.
Cold Shot Chillers reverse flow chillers do not include tanks due to their use of an open loop cooling system. For applications of these types, an external tank is used to provide positive head pressure of water or heat transfer fluid to the system’s pump. The fluid is pumped from the external tank to the chiller and back to the tank. The heat from the fluid is transferred through the chiller’s evaporator, through the refrigeration system, and to the water-condensing heat evaporator.

A 2-ton water chiller can cool laser and welding equipment, plastic processing equipment, CNC machines, laboratory equipment, printing machinery, small tanks, and process fluid loops. The right unit depends on the process cooling load, flow rate, target fluid temperature, and site conditions.
Each chiller is run and tested at Cold Shot Chillers’ Houston facility before shipment. The team checks the controls, safety devices, refrigeration circuit, fluid flow, pressures, and operating performance.
Maintenance may include cleaning the Y-strainer and condenser coils, checking fluid and glycol levels, inspecting electrical connections, and checking for leaks. The service schedule depends on the model, operating hours, fluid, and site conditions.
Chiller performance depends on more than just tonnage. Unit cooling capacity, airflow layout, enclosure panels, and ambient temperatures all factor in. Cold Shot Chillers builds 2-ton air-cooled and water-cooled systems to match your exact specs.
