Cold Shot Chillers 7.5 Ton water chillers are made in the USA and are considered the most durable and dependable chillers on the market. We offer 7.5 Ton chillers in air-cooled or water-cooled configurations. In keeping with the times, we have built in IOT (Internet of Things) hardware into the design to make your chiller a Smart Chiller. This technology makes it possible to remotely monitor your chillers performance on your mobile device or desktop computer. Stationary, portable, and reverse flow designs are available to accommodate virtually any facility requirement.
The term “portable” refers to the way the chiller is configuration, not to its mobility. It is conceivable that a portable chiller will never be moved once installed. The term “portable” is a reference that the chiller contains, not only the refrigeration components, but includes a tank, pump, and evaporator as well. This is the closest thing to plug and play as it gets.
The Cold Shot Chillers model ACAC-90-Q chiller includes a single stage hermetically sealed scroll compressor. A scroll compressor operates smooth and quietly due to the limited amount of moving parts, plus provides effective and reliable chilling. An environmentally friendly R410A refrigerant is used due to its non-depleting ozone chemical composition.
The unit weighs approximately 1000 lbs. in total with dimensions of 67” L x 46” W x 54” H.

The term “stationary” does not have anything to do with the mobility of the chiller, rather it means the chiller does not include a pump or a tank. The main components found on our 7.5 Ton air-cooled stationary chiller includes a condenser, compressor, and evaporator. The stationary chiller is connected to an external tank and pump in the field.
It is not uncommon to see separate power connections for the chiller and the external tank-pump assembly. To ensure the chiller and the pump work in unison a set of dry contacts are included on the chiller. When the remote pump is turned on it will turn on the chiller. If specified, the pump control components can be mounted on the chiller.
For effective and reliable cooling, the 7.5 Ton model ACWC-90-QST features an energy efficient condenser with ECM (electronically commutated motors) fan motor, hermetic scroll compressor, and stainless-steel copper brazed plate evaporator. The refrigerant used is R410A which is environmentally friendly to the ozone layer.

A Cold Shot Chillers 7.5 Ton “reverse flow” chiller includes a stainless-steel centrifugal pump but no tank. Reverse flow chillers are typically located near the water/glycol source such as a vertical HDPE tank with a vented top. The fluid in the tank is gravity fed to the chiller pump, through the strainer, and evaporator and back to the tank. Separate pumps can and are used at the external tank to provide specific flow and pressure requirements to the process, plus provide redundancy.

Cold Shot Chillers 7.5 Ton model WCWC-90-Q water-cooled liquid chiller offers an energy efficient solution to remove heat from virtually any heat generating process. The condenser coils, condenser fan motor, compressor, and centrifugal pump are all highly efficient under various heat loads and ambient air temperatures.
Water-cooled chillers are normally installed indoors. The chiller can be placed in confined mechanical rooms or on the production floor near the process. The 7.5 Ton portable water-cooled chiller weighs approximately 600 lbs. and has dimensions of 46.5” L x 34.5” W x 52.5” H. and is built with long-lasting performance in mind.

The Cold Shot Chillers 7.5 Ton reverse flow water-cooled water chiller includes a stainless-steel copper brazed plate condenser, evaporator, and stainless-steel centrifugal pump. A 7.5 Ton model WCWC-90-QRF water-cooled fluid chiller provides 90,000 BTU/Hr. of cooling capacity with 50°F leaving fluid temperature with 85°F incoming condensing water temperature.
Recirculating condenser water from a cooling tower, geothermal, or other water source is used to condense the refrigerant. The flow and temperature of the incoming condensing water dictates the cooling efficiency. Water-cooled systems can provide efficiency and environmental impact advantages over air-cooled systems.
