60 Ton Water Chillers

Cold Shot Chillers builds durable two-stage air- and water‑cooled chillers in the USA. Our 60‑ton units support plastics, metal finishing, and medical cooling. Systems come as stationary units without pump/tank or as portable models with pump, insulated tank, and full controls. Reverse‑flow and continuous‑flow designs are also available.

60 Ton Air-cooled Chiller (Portable)

Five stage “Portable” air cooled water chiller system, sometimes called central cooling system for industrial chilling solution comes with a water chiller pump and tank to meet your close loop applications, it features full load performance dual hermetic scroll compressors and R410A refrigerant for effective and reliable cooling. The evaporator for this unit is made of copper-brazed stainless-steel plates with flow and temperature safeties to protect against water freezing. This unit will provide approximately 720,000 BTU/HR with 50 F leaving chill water temperature and 95 F ambient conditions.  Economical option to meet designed process demand.  The unit weighs approximately 3000 lbs. in total with dimensions of 207” L x 88.25” W x 73” H.

Standard Features

• Controls: This 60 ton chiller comes standard with an electronic programmed temperature controller with constant (set point & process) readout to provide diagnostics and precise temperature. Fully factory tested.
• Refrigeration Components: Efficient scroll compressors, balanced port expansion valves, sight glass/moisture indicators, pump down valves, filter drier, fan cycling head pressure controls.
• Process Fluid Components:  Bronze “Y” strainer with 20 mesh stainless steel screen. Pumps are stainless steel centrifugal. Tanks are insulated with shoe box lid, fill port, and level sight glass. Portable systems will include a bypass flow valve.
• Safety Controls: High and low refrigerant pressure, high and low fluid temperature, freeze, low water flow, internal overloads, thermal overload circuit breakers and/or safety fuses for compressors, pumps, and fan motors, temperature relief fusible plug on liquid lines of each circuit.
• Construction: Heavy duty powder coated frame and full metal cabinet, copper piping connections.
• Warranty: One year for parts / five year for the compressor. 

60 Ton Air-Cooled Chiller (Stationary)

The five-stage 60 ton air-cooled “Stationary” water chiller systems from Cold Shot is ruggedly constructed and easy to install.  It typically comes with separate controls for the chiller and the pump(s), with an electrical connection to each component.  The use of a single or dual pump can be designed to provide cooling for a wide variety of applications.  The holding fluid tank can be remotely installed for convenience and piped together on site.  They are designed for either indoor or outdoor installation to meet each customers needs.  Each system includes reliable and energy efficient hermetic scroll compressors with environmentally friendly R-410A refrigerant designed for year round use. The unit weighs approximately 2650 lbs. in total with dimensions of 111” L x 88.25” W x 73” H.

Designed for open‑circuit systems using an external tank. Pump circulates water through evaporator back to tank. Available with microchannel coils.

Self‑contained water‑cooled chiller for high‑efficiency cooling. 60 ton model operates at lower head pressure and can serve as a central system. Uses brazed‑plate condenser. Approx. 1,800 lbs., 98” L x 55” W x 88” H.

60 Ton Water-cooled Chillers (Stationary)

The Cold Shot Chillers 60 Ton stationary water-cooled water chiller is well designed footprint with a PLC controlled and self-diagnostics, WIFI/LAN/LTE connectivity for predictive maintenance.  A 60 Ton model WCWC-720-E-ST water-cooled fluid chiller provides 720,000 BTU/Hr. of cooling capacity with 50°F leaving fluid temperature with 85°F incoming condensing water temperature.

60 ton water-cooled chillers are designed to dissipate process heat into a cooling tower or large water body.  These units are used in many applications and can provide a constant performance. Liquid cooled chillers range in size and are typically compact and designed to reside indoors protected from outdoor ambient conditions.  While water cooled chillers can operate more efficient, it still requires an additional cooling tower system that will require additional installation and maintenance.

The unit measures 90” L x 50” W x 72” H and weighs approximately 1400 lbs.
