Cold Shot Chillers two stage air cooled water chillers are made in the USA and are among the most robust and dependable chillers built to last. We offer 40-Ton chillers in a variety of flow designs for process cooling applications. These are available in stationary air-cooled water chillers and liquid-cooled water chillers that do not include a recirculating fluid pump or an internal holding tank. This machine is also offered as a portable unit which includes a complete system with operating controls, water pump(s) and holding reservoir. Other options include reverse flow and continuous flow to cool a process.
Two stage “Portable” air cooled water chiller system unit comes with a water chiller pump and tank to meet your close loop applications, it features full load performance dual hermetic scroll compressors and R410A refrigerant for effective and reliable cooling. The evaporator for this unit is made of copper-brazed stainless-steel plates with flow and temperature safeties to protect against water freezing. This unit will provide approximately 360,000 BTU/HR with 50 F leaving chill water temperature and 95 F ambient conditions. This unit can also be configured to include a remote condenser. The unit weighs approximately 3100 lbs. in total with dimensions of 92” L x 88” W x 73” H.
Controls: This chiller comes standard with an electronic programmed temperature controller with constant (set point & process) readout to provide diagnostics and precise temperature. Fully factory tested.

The two-stage air-cooled “Stationary” water chiller systems from Cold Shot will typically have separate controls for the chiller and the pump(s), with an electrical connection to each component. The use of a single or dual pump can be designed to provide the process needs. The holding fluid tank that is typically detached from the chiller and piped together on location. They are designed for either indoor or outdoor installation to fit the process application. Each system includes reliable and energy efficient hermetic scroll compressors with R-410A refrigerant designed for year round use.

Cold Shot reverse flow chillers do not include a holding tank due to their use of an open loop cooling system. For applications of these chillers, an external reservoir on your site is typically used to gravity feed water into the system’s fluid pump. The pump sends the externally sourced water through the chiller evaporator and filter before sending it back to the tank/trough or process. Standard non coated or e-coated microchannel condenser coils.

Cold Shot Chillers 40 Ton model WCWC-480-E water-cooled liquid chiller is designed in a small enclosed footprint to bring efficient and superior performance to all types of industrial applications. These self-contained water-cooled systems are custom made to fit your cooling needs. Water-cooled chillers allow the refrigeration system to operate at lower head pressure, making them more efficient. Single or two pump arrangements available.
Water-cooled chillers recirculate water to cool the refrigerant in the brazed plated fluid condenser. This chiller includes and efficient water-cooled liquid condenser, high efficiency brazed plate stainless-steel copper brazed. The refrigerant and cooling water from a cooling water source do not come in direct contact with each other, these flow in different pathways. These units are usually installed indoors. The 30 Ton portable water-cooled chiller weighs approximately 1,300 lbs. and has dimensions of 98” L x 50” W x 85” H.

The Cold Shot Chillers 40 Ton reverse flow water-cooled water chiller is well designed footprint with a PLC controlled and self-diagnostics, WIFI/LAN/LTE connectivity for predictive maintenance. A 30 Ton model WCWC-480-E-RF water-cooled fluid chiller provides 480,000 BTU/Hr. of cooling capacity with 50°F leaving fluid temperature with 85°F incoming condensing water temperature.
Water-cooled chillers are designed to dissipate process heat into a cooling tower or large water body. These units are used in many applications and can provide a constant performance. Liquid cooled chillers range in size and are typically compact and designed to reside indoors protected from outdoor ambient conditions. While water cooled chillers can operate more efficient, it still requires an additional cooling tower system that will require additional installation and maintenance.
