Cold Shot Chillers 15 Ton water chillers are made in the USA and are among the most robust and dependable chillers on the market. We offer 15 Ton chillers configured as air-cooled or water-cooled to meet your site-specific requirements. The flow design can be configured to accommodate stationary, portable, and reverse flow for virtually any heat removal application.
The term “portable” refers to the basic configuration of the system, not to its mobility. Most portable chiller units will never be moved once installed. The term refers to any chiller system that contains the necessary components such as the refrigeration circuit, the reservoir, and the pump or pumps, within a single footprint.
Our model ACWC-180-E features a hermetic scroll compressor and R410A refrigerant for effective and reliable cooling. The evaporator for this unit is made of copper-brazed stainless steel and built to last. The unit weighs approximately 1600 lbs. in total with dimensions of 88” L x 40” W x 70” H.
Controls: The unit comes standard with an electronic programmed temperature controller with constant (set point & process) temperature readout.

The term “stationary chiller” refers to any chiller that does not include a pump or a tank. A stationary chiller relies on an external tank filled with a heat transfer fluid (water – glycol) that acts as a medium to remove heat from the process. Field plumbing is required to connect the chiller and the tank together.
The air-cooled stationary chiller provides a single drop electrical connection. In many cases the chiller and the pump – tank assembly work independently from each other. Upon request the chiller can be configured with pump controls or a set of dry contacts to prevent the chiller from operating until the circulating pump is operating.

A “reverse flow” portable chiller model ACWC-180-ERF includes a pump with controls but does not include an internal chiller tank. Buyers interested in this type of chiller provides their own external tank. The fluid in the tank is pumped from the tank to the chiller and back to the tank.

The R410A refrigerant is environmentally friendly and is one of the most common refrigerants for commercial and residential use. The evaporator for this unit is made of stainless-steel copper brazed. Alternate evaporators with brazed Nickel or Titanium is also available to handle all types of fluid compositions. Our model WCWC-180-E is a two-stage water cooled water chiller. The chiller uses a water-cooled condenser to remove the heat from the chiller unit. In coming condensing water can be supplied by a cooling tower, geothermal, or building supplied chilled water supply.
This chiller uses two scroll compressors tied together in tandem to provide a wide range of cooling capacities. Once the compressor finishes its cooling cycle it alternates to the other compressor. A “lead lag” program is used to prevent one compressor from aging out prematurely. A R-410A refrigerant is used because of its ozone friendly blend.
The chiller unit includes an 80-gallon stainless steel tank that is well insulated. The pump selection can be made to accommodate virtually any flow and pressure requirement. If needed the chiller can be configured with two pumps for redundancy or to make one dedicated to the process. This unit weighs approximately 1100 lbs. and measures 64” L x 42” W x 53” H.

Our 15 Ton model WCWC-180-ERF reverse flow water cooled water chiller include a pump and a stainless-steel copper brazed evaporator. Once the chiller arrives onsite plumbers will connect the chiller to an external storage tank. Since the pump is in the chiller the tank must be relatively close to the chiller to ensure the pump is always primed.
A water-cooled chiller uses a water condenser to remove the heat from the chiller. The water source can be from a building chilled water supply, geothermal or cooling tower.
The chiller unit measures 64” L x 42” W x 55 ½” H and weighs approximately 1,100 Lbs.
